TYPES OF CONFECTIONERY PACKAGING

Sustainable and environmentally friendly confectionery packaging is also introduced more often. Flexible and rigid packaging are tested by using the vacuum decay testing method.
- Flexible packaging: Confectionery is often packed in flexible packaging. For example, flexible pouches filled with chocolate or wrapped chocolate bars, in which you also have many differences. But also a lot of candy, such as pouches filled with lollypops or gummies.
- Rigid packaging: Some confectionery is packed in rigid packaging. Especially chocolatee can be packaged in plastic trays, in which biscuits are also often packaged.

Flexible packaging is tested in the Stationary Leak Tester. The packaging is placed between two flexible membranes. After closing the lid, a deep vacuum is created in the test chamber. This creates a very small measuring area without damaging the packaging. With this unique measuring method, you can detect both micro leaks and large leaks without having to change any settings.

STATIONARY LEAK TESTER XS & M
Rigid packaging is tested in the Stationary Leak Tester XS or M. Specially for your rigid confectionery packaging, a custom-made insert is made in the exact form of your packaging. The packaging is placed between the insert and one flexible membrane. After closing the lid, a deep vacuum is created in the test chamber. This creates a very small measuring area without damaging the packaging. With this unique measuring method, you can detect both micro leaks and large leaks without having to change any settings.

IN-LINE CONFECTIONERY PACKAGING TESTING
It is also possible to develop an in-line leak detection solution for your confectionery packaging.
