TYPES OF BISCUITS & BAKERY PACKAGING

The different types of biscuits and bakery are flexible and rigid packaging. The vacuum decay method is used for testing flexible and rigid packaging.
- Flexible packaging: Flexible packaging includes, for example, biscuits with a casing, such as biscuit rolls, cakes and bars. Biscuits and bakery are also often packaged in small and large pouches, such as bread and resealable bags with cookies.
- Rigid packaging: Biscuits and bakery is also packaged in rigid packaging, such as trays with cookies and cakes.

STATIONARY LEAK TESTER
Your flexible packaging or pouch is tested with the Stationary Leak Tester. A packaging is placed between the two flexible membranes. After closing the lid, a deep vacuum is created in the test chamber. This creates a very small measuring area without damaging the packaging. With this unique measuring method, you can detect both micro leaks and large leaks without having to change any settings.

STATIONARY LEAK TESTER XS & M
Rigid packaging is tested in the Stationary Leak Tester XS and M. We create a custom-made insert in the exact form of your rigid biscuits and bakery packaging. Therefore this tester has only one membrane. After closing the lid, a deep vacuum is created in the test chamber. This creates a very small measuring area without damaging the packaging. With this unique measuring method, you can detect both micro leaks and large leaks without having to change any settings.

IN-LINE BISCUITS & BAKERY PACKAGING TESTING
Flexible and rigid biscuits or bakery packaging can also be tested with an in-line leak detection machine. The only difference with the stand-alone machines, is that your packaging is tested within the production line. The in-line machine is able to detect leaks at random, fully automatically or 100%.
