A global healthcare and infant nutrition producer approached Oxipack for advice on meeting the highest quality demands when testing infant nutrition packaging for leaks. They were already familiar with Vacuum Decay (ASTM F2338-09) testing but were unsatisfied with the leak testers they were using at the time.
The Oxipack method was considered easier to use, flexible (all packaging could be tested with the same settings), and more economical. Oxipack was asked to attend a packaging seminar in Spain where our Managing Director Serge Smit explained the Oxipack leak detection method and benefits. After the seminar the cooperation expanded quickly.
The customer now uses Stationary Leak Testers, Can Leak Testers, and a 100% inline leak tester to test their products in a non-destructive way. Even the co-packers are instructed to use an Oxipack leak tester for testing their production.
Together with the customer, the Centre of Expertise is now developing several semi-inline leak testers for pouches with a (very) limited footprint. Also, the Centre of Expertise was asked to develop a bottle leak tester which fits on all their different bottles. Our close cooperation has made Oxipack a preferred partner for the customer and we look forward to expanding our global cooperation.
